Current Faculty
Susan Piper (Curriculum, Instruction)
Dr. Piper holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Kent State University. She has almost 30 years experience as an inter-city teacher, a reading specialist, and a professional development trainer in K-12. Dr. Piper is the coordinator of an Ohio DOE grant for the development of a Cleveland Municipal School District K-3 Literacy System. She currently works in the Cleveland Municipal School District providing professional development in literacy research and practices and in the DIBELS assessment system.
Mark Beadle (Educational Technology)
Dr. Beadle holds an Ed.D. in Educational Administration with a focus on Educational Technology from the University of Cincinnati. In addition to seven years of classroom experience, he was a principal for 17 years at a nationally recognized school of excellence and taught Teaching Technology in Saudi Arabia. He maintains professional memberships in numerous educational associations and has held officer positions in their local affiliates.
Ella Bush (Education Administration)
Dr. Bush holds a Ph.D. in Education Administration from Indiana State University and has over 40 years of experience in the field of education, serving as a teacher, principal, and school superintendent. She serves her community by writing GED and Welfare to Work curriculum, and grants to fund outreach ministries in the church. For her contributions, she was recognized with the Outstanding Service Images of Hope award.
Anne Decker (Adult Education)
Dr. Decker holds an Ed.D. in Adult Education from Regent University for which she received the Award of Excellence. She has 20 years of teaching experience and is currently a Curriculum Specialist. Dr. Decker also served as a missionary to Africa, where she helped found a college of theology; she remains a member of the executive council of Evangelical College of Theology in Ghana, West Africa.
Paul Weaver (Educational Leadership)
Dr. Weaver holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Kentucky. While teaching and serving as an administrator he has contributed to numerous scholarly journals and continues to research and publish. Dr. Weaver is also active in a variety of other fields; Kentucky Center for Mental Heath Studies (President), Mental Health America (Chairperson), lobbyist in the Vermont and Kentucky state legislations, and a gubernatorial appointee to the Kentucky SILC Council.
Roxie Sporleder (Curriculum, Instruction, Administration)
Dr. Sporleder holds an Ed.D. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Administration from Montana State Univ. She has 30 years experience as a teacher, reading specialist and administrator in the K-12 setting and seven years as an elementary principal. For the past eight years, Dr. Sporleder has researched and published articles concerning literacy, focusing on the critical readiness skills necessary for learning to read. She currently serves as a Reading Fellow for the Montana Office of Public Instruction.
Rosalea Cameron (Educational Psychology, Developmental Psychology)
Dr. Cameron holds a Ph.D. in Education/Developmental Psychology from Murdoch University, Australia. Dr. Cameron's 19 years of teaching experience has included assignments in Australia, Mozambique, and South Africa. She currently serves as an educational consultant for Wesleyan World Missions in Africa and teaches 7th grade at North American International School in South Africa.
Teran Armstrong (Educational Administration)
Dr. Armstrong holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Purdue University. During her 25 years in the education she has served a classroom teacher, principal, assistant superintendent, and district administrator. Dr. Armstrong is also a colonel in the Army Reserve and has served as a peace keeper in Kosovo. For her excellence in administration, she was awarded the Lilly Leadership Grant. Dr. Armstrong currently serves on the Indiana Professional Standards Board-Fine Arts Advisory Committee.
Dean Speicher (Educational Leadership, Educational Administration)
Dr. Speicher holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration from Ball State University. He has 45 years of experience as a teacher and administrator in the K-12 setting and consulting. He has served as the President of the American Association of School Administrators and as a member of the Board of Trustees of Ball State University. He currently leads a K-12 and Post-Secondary Consulting and Sales Agency and is a member of the Indiana DOE Curriculum Advisory Council, the Indiana DOE Technology Committee, and Indiana's Lieutenant Governor's Jobs Council.
Stan Frame (Educational Administration, Educational Psychology)
Dr. Frame holds an Ed.D. in Educational Administration/Educational Psychology from New Mexico State Univ. He has 40 years of experience as a K-12 teacher and administrator, as well as having post-secondary educational experience as a professor and administrator for George Fox University. Dr. Frame has a wealth of experience in developing higher education curriculum and has served on the Idaho State Department of Education's On-Site Visitation Team.
