IWU's Exceptional Learners Program is designed for teachers who wish for the tools and knowledge to change lives.
The exceptional learners program ensures you are qualified to work with children in the category of mild mental retardation, emotional disorders, and learning disabilities. In less than 16 months, IWU's Exceptional Learners Program prepares certificated classroom teachers for the Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention license from the State of Indiana.
A Built-In Support System
IWU's Exceptional Learners Online Program places you in a cohort group of 15 to 18 teachers. You progress through the curriculum with the support of your peers and experienced exceptional education instructors. Working in a virtual classroom on a website designed for group discussions, you create long-lasting relationships with other teachers who are also building values-based lives. You learn as much from them as the special education licensure program instructors.
