Graduate Testimonials
"I am very glad that I decided to enroll in the online program at Indiana Wesleyan. It has been a learning experience, but one that has flown by and taught me a lot. It is so nice to be able to work from your home and still receive a degree!"

"With the Indiana Wesleyan Special Education Online program I have gained a valuable knowledge of special education through my peers and the services provided by such a professional staff. I have recommended to several of my colleagues at the school corporation I work for to check out Indiana Wesleyan for their online programs."
Matthew R. Thacker
"IWU has provided me with an opportunity to further my education and advance my career while not having to leave the house and my family. The cohort group has been wonderful. It's great to work with so many other teachers and hear their feelings and insights during discussions."
Cassie Hill
"I am currently a student in IWU's SEDO program. I have a license to teach secondary social studies, but wanted to increase my employability by getting a license to teach special education. The license in Mild Interventions will allow me to work with students with mild disabilities, including emotional and learning disabilities.
The format of the program, all classes are online, allows me to fit my class work into my schedule. I work full-time as a high school teacher and also have a family to care for. I can go online and complete my work when I have the time. It would be difficult for me, if not impossible, to complete a traditional program.
I feel very confident that the SEDO program will prepare me quite well to work with students with mild disabilities. As a matter of fact, I find something in every workshop that I use immediately in my classroom! I have been using the information from my classes from the very first day. The format of the program, with classes and assignments to complete in my own time and activities in my classroom with students who have special needs, combines both the intellectual and practical knowledge that I need to be the type of teacher I want to be. I would recommend (and actually have!) the SEDO program to anyone who wants to become licensed to work with special needs students."
